DESCRIPTION:
An “open collaboration” movement began more than 10 years ago in places like IBM, Proctor and Gamble, and Wikipedia. The technologies that enabled major innovations in how these organizations work are now impacting social culture and behavior around the world. Social media tools such as wikis, micro-blogging and chat rooms are powerful ways to connect, find expertise and collaborate well beyond video or tele-conferencing. Virtual collaboration is an exciting frontier for leaders of change. In this session we will hear and talk about:

Presenter:
Lucy Garrick is a founder of two OD practices, NorthShore Group and Radical Inclusion. The focus of her consulting work is leadership, strategy and collaborative practices. Her interest in the impact of technology on organizations began when she co-authored a book in the early 1980’s about the impact of new media on the radio and television industries. Prior to becoming an OD consultant, she worked on corporate strategy in the computer technology industry after 20 years in marketing management. She holds an M.A in Whole Systems Design and Organization Systems Renewal and is a former board member and chairperson for PNODN.
