Collaboration and Sustainable Decision-Making for Consultants and Leaders

A major source of team dysfunction is unclear decision making. Come learn how to customize and install a sustainable decision-making protocol that is featured in the best-selling book in the world on collaborative decision-making.  Bay Area-based consultant Sarah Lightfoot learned this framework directly from the authors, and she'll help you to bring it to your clients and/or team. Used in hundreds of government agencies, companies, and social enterprises world-wide, it's a straightforward and valuable set of concepts that increases mutual understanding.

Participants will:

  1. Learn to partner with your client (a leader of a team or group) to identify their decision-making style, collaborative philosophy, and organizational constraints so that they can select the right decision-making framework for their context; and
  2. Learn to employ a team-building process to install a proven decision-making framework used in hundreds of government agencies, companies, and other enterprises world-wide. (Based upon the work of Sam Kaner and co-authors of Facilitator's Guide to Participatory Decision-Making)
