An Evening with Sandra Janoff - Striving for Wholeness
This training will be conducted live via Zoom.
Sandra has recently written a chapter for the book Social Scientist Confronting Global Crisis, right before lockdown. Her response to a world that she sees as breaking into pieces on so many levels was a slight level of despair, but she was not without hope. She knows that even though we are in a challenging place, there is a way into a better future.
We’re broken and splintered. We need to both understand and to act.
when the diversity of the system comes together we can create something that comes from the heart and we can make things happen. This is the essence of Future Search. We so often work in a fragmented way, with pieces of the system, instead of coming together to work in wholeness.
We as OD professionals, and as consultants, often default to just working with part of the system. We need to be intentional about confronting the tensions that exist in us and in our systems to work through those tensions to come to a more whole place. In our country so many of us are unable yet to say that the skills and knowledge we have are being used to break through to a place of new systemic learning.
Join us in discussion and exploration of a more whole future.
In this session, participants will learn:
1. The basic principles of Future Search
2. How to perceive whole system action and prescribe it for clients
3. Explore and understand their own role in bringing about change
