Types of Events
PNODN is a supportive community where we share talent and knowledge, have meaningful experiences, and foster connection and inspiration to flourish in our work.
We gather for monthly programs, professional development workshops, communities of practice, and networking events.
We strive to host events that are relevant and exciting to external and internal Organization Development professionals, students, project managers, business leaders, and change agents. During our events, we learn together and grow the network of professionals supporting best outcomes for business professionals in the Puget Sound.
We host at least one program each month where a featured speaker addresses today’s challenges with pragmatic, proven solutions. Many of our programs feature leaders in the field and Organization Development Network (ODN) Lifetime Achievement Award recipients. The experiential and interactive presentations are 90 minutes, plus 30 minutes of networking. Programs are typically held on Monday evenings.
We offer several workshops throughout the year. The purpose of these workshops is to offer in-depth learning opportunities on a wide range of topic areas and core skills. Some are part of our OD Toolkit series. Workshops are typically 2-4 hours long.
Community of Practice
We coordinate Communities of Practice for OD professionals. The purpose of these groups is to come together with like-minded practitioners to consult with each other and share best practices. A community of practice consists of 6-10 members. After an initial four-hour meeting, the group meets for two hours each month for six months. Groups are facilitated by a PNODN Board member or other PNODN member. A sample of groups are: General Practitioners, Project Managers, Coaches, Change Practitioners.
Upcoming Communities of Practice
We know that sometimes the most meaningful connections happen outside of the content. Therefore, we offer pure networking opportunities for people to take advantage of the benefits that come from connecting with others that share a passion for OD. Our intention is to increase access to the rich network of OD professionals throughout the city in a diversity of formats. Events can be recurring or stand alone. All networking events are FREE!
If you don’t see a networking event for you, consider hosting your own.
